Asbestos Suit

I’m calling around for quotes from pros for asbestos pipe removal and the lowest price I received was around $1200 for the whole thing (removal,disposal,air check). Wondering if this is a good price for roughly 60-70 ft of pipe in basement? Also wondering if removal is better than encapsulation? It seems pretty well intact, but would rather get rid of it than ever have to worry about it.

Removal is better. Just make sure the contractor is licensed and you get copies of all the air test results. If they claim it is not required, you want one anyway. In Mass, that is probably a good price.
